A digital noticeboard puts current information where students, parents and teachers pass every day. The entrance hall can show school news and weekly events; a classroom display can show class times and room numbers; a learning centre can show group schedules. Match content to the location: people at an entrance need a short message, while visitors in a waiting area can read several slides.
Start with a specific task, such as announcing room changes. Show the date, time, group and new room clearly. Remove small details and check the text from several metres away. Split a large amount of information into understandable slides rather than shrinking a whole paper document to fit the display.
Prepare your timetable in your usual software and export the required pages as images. Upload them to dslite, add them to a playlist and set each slide’s duration. Morning and evening sessions can have different playback times. Keep ongoing information in the default playlist and use start and end dates for events taking place during a particular week.
When a class moves, update the source material and publish the change to the relevant screens. dslite displays a prepared timetable; it does not assign teaching workloads or replace a school information system. Decide who approves changes so that the noticeboard shows one current version.

For your first display, you need a TV or monitor with HDMI, a compatible Android player, power and internet for setup. Choose screen size for the viewing distance and avoid a position where bright daylight hides the text. Test actual files before installing: timetable slides and video place different demands on the device.
Downloaded content stays on the player and can continue without internet. A new room change, however, cannot reach an offline device until connectivity returns. Before the school day starts, check player status and request a screenshot. This helps confirm the correct playlist and readable information.
Name screens by location: “Main entrance”, “Second building” or “Learning centre — reception”. Invite staff with suitable permissions. Share common event materials and assign local timetables through screen groups. This makes it easier for an editor to choose the right audience when publishing.
Review event dates and remove outdated announcements. Before expanding across a building, test one screen: the complete playlist, schedule changes and a temporary network outage. Subscriptions are based on screen count; equipment is purchased separately. This workflow suits schools, language centres and after-school learning venues.
