What to show on retail screens

An in-store advertising screen can show a seasonal collection, a product bundle, offer terms or a short demonstration. Content should fit its location: an entrance display introduces the store, a screen beside a shelf highlights a specific offer, and a checkout display presents an additional purchase. For a window display, check brightness and readability in daylight. dslite manages the content; choose hardware for the installation conditions.

Prepare a short playlist for each placement. An offer slide should identify the product, price, dates and purchase conditions. Layout zones let you combine video with text, but the result must remain legible from a distance. The service delivers selected materials to the right displays and plays them on schedule. Selling ad space and attracting customers depend on your campaign, placement and offer.

Starting and ending promotions

Prepare content ahead of time, set its availability dates and assign it to screens. A shared campaign can run throughout a chain while a local offer appears only in selected stores. Use schedules for recurring changes, such as one offer in the morning and another in the evening. Each display follows its own time zone, so stores in different regions can follow local opening hours.

An end date helps remove expired offers from playback. You still need default content that remains after the campaign: store information, the regular assortment or another playlist. Check prices and terms before publication. dslite displays prepared materials; automatically retrieving stock levels or prices from inventory software is not part of this workflow. The store team remains responsible for keeping promotional files current.

Updating a network of advertising displays

Name screens after their store and position, then organize them into groups. You can select the displays at one location or assign a shared playlist to several stores. Team roles provide different access rights, allowing content preparation and publishing within one workspace. Independent franchise owners can use the separate partner-workspace model instead.

Updates are sent through explicit publication. Each player downloads the new files and switches once the complete update is ready. If connectivity drops, previously downloaded images, video and schedules keep running. Connection status and screenshot requests help you check a remote store. A screenshot shows a particular moment; it does not measure audience size or prove a number of advertising views.

Testing the service in one store

Choose a store with a clear pilot task, such as presenting a new collection or changing the checkout offer. Connect a compatible Android player, upload several images and a video, then set a schedule. Use actual designs and the intended campaign cycle to assess readability and playback order on the shop floor.

Test a remote update, campaign expiry and playback after a connection loss. Once the workflow is clear to staff, connect the remaining stores using the same naming and grouping rules. Pricing depends on screen count. Displays, installation and content production are separate, so divide the network budget into hardware, creative materials and the management subscription.

Frequently asked questions

Can I update several stores at once?

Yes. Assign a playlist or shared schedule to selected screens and publish. Groups help you select the locations you need.

What happens when a campaign ends?

Content with an end date is skipped or hidden. Prepare a default playlist without an expiry date to keep relevant content on screen.

Can I check what is on a screen?

The workspace shows player status and lets you request a screenshot. The player must be online to return a fresh screenshot.
