Using a TV at a parcel pickup point

A screen can place useful information where visitors wait for their parcels: opening hours, collection and return instructions, fitting-room directions or prepared advertisements. Keep messages brief enough to read during the wait. One location can start with a simple playlist of slides that the owner updates from a browser.

Running an advertising display requires both equipment and content-management software. dslite stores prepared materials, assigns them to screens and plays them on schedule. The TV, Android player and installation are separate purchases. Decide where the display will sit before buying hardware, and check that it will not interfere with staff. A visitor-facing display serves a different purpose from an employee’s workstation monitor.

Organizing advertising playback

Once advertising placement is agreed, prepare the advertisers’ files and arrange their playback order in a playlist. Set start and end dates for limited campaigns. Useful visitor instructions can run between advertising materials. Match the loop length to a typical wait so an important notice does not appear only once every several minutes.

The pickup-point owner approves materials and agrees placement terms. This matters particularly at marketplace-branded locations, where partnership rules govern the use and appearance of the space. dslite does not promise automatic connection to Ozon or Wildberries advertising programmes. A screen-management subscription also does not mean the service will find advertisers or provide a particular income.

Managing several pickup locations

Give each screen a clear name with its location. Assign shared instructions across the network and a change in opening hours to just one pickup point. Groups help select the right screens when assigning a playlist or schedule. Review text before publishing; an incorrect notice distributed to all displays requires another publication to correct it.

Players must be online to receive updates. If the connection temporarily drops, previously downloaded images and videos continue playing. For remote checks, review device status and the time of its last connection, then request a screenshot from an online player. This helps confirm the right material appeared without visiting the TV or asking staff to send a photograph.

Starting with one display

Install the app on a compatible Android player, connect it to the TV and pair the device with its code. Prepare JPEG, PNG or WebP images and H.264 MP4 videos. Export PDF designs before uploading. The service uses your original files, so check their quality and readability on the actual display.

During the seven-day trial, test a full working day: playback startup, content changes, an expiring notice and recovery after lost connectivity. To budget, count your screens and choose a billing period. Pay monthly or annually with a discount. Equipment purchases and agreements with advertisers remain separate costs and processes.

Frequently asked questions

Can I use a regular TV?

Yes, with a compatible Android player and suitable connection. Before buying equipment, check the display’s resolution, orientation and suitability for extended operation.

Does dslite connect to Ozon or Wildberries?

This page describes playback of prepared content on your own screen. Automatic synchronization with a marketplace account or its advertising programme is not part of this workflow.

Can I sell advertising placements?

You can create a playlist of approved advertising materials in dslite. Finding advertisers, agreeing placements and complying with marketplace terms remain the pickup-point owner’s responsibility. Revenue and ad-slot occupancy are not guaranteed.
