Network content management

Shared brand library

Publish selected folders, playlists and layouts to partners. Shared originals can be used without editing; brand changes are distributed after publication.

Independent partner workspaces

Each franchisee connects its screens and adds local materials. Private partner content is not shared with the brand or other partners.

Separate billing

Each partner has its own card, subscription, invoices and trial. Partner screens are never added to the brand’s bill.

Sharing brand content with franchisees

A franchise network combines a shared brand with independent businesses. For screens, that means distributing approved menus, layouts and videos while keeping each partner’s workspace separate. The brand publishes a shared library in dslite, and franchisees use those materials on their own displays. There is no need to send an archive to every partner and ask them to find the latest version manually.

Selected folders, playlists and layouts can be shared. Published folder contents are available to approved members, including new partners. Brand originals remain read-only in franchise workspaces. This helps preserve approved designs while content assignment and publication provide a clear workflow for deciding what appears on each screen.

Combining shared and local materials

Partners can use the brand library alongside their own opening hours, local offers and location-specific information. Their private content is not exposed to the brand or other franchisees. If all stores belong to one company and share a team, a regular workspace with screen groups is sufficient; the network model is for independent partners.

Before onboarding, agree which materials the brand prepares, which messages partners may add locally and who checks prices. Software does not replace the franchise’s operating guidelines. For example, the brand can supply a seasonal campaign design while a partner publishes local terms as a separate slide. This avoids accidental edits to a shared original and confusion between national and local campaigns.

Example café with vibrant English digital menus showing a croissant, latte and dollar prices.

Onboarding partners and distributing updates

The brand creates a network and invites franchisees. Each partner registers its own workspace, connects screens and gains access to the published library after the required approval. Network registration links and named invitations are available. Test the process with one partner first, from signing in to adding shared content to a playlist.

Changes to shared materials are distributed through brand publication. Players need a connection to receive the new version; previously downloaded content continues during a temporary outage. Allow time for locations to reconnect and download when planning a shared campaign. Publishing from head office does not instantly update a screen that is offline.

Who pays for network screens

Each franchisee pays only for screens in its own workspace. Its subscription, payment card, invoices and trial are separate. Partner screens are not added to the brand’s bill. A franchisee can start with one location and expand independently of the number of screens operated by other partners.

Budget for hardware and creative materials separately from the software subscription. For the pilot, prepare one shared playlist, one local insert and one partner screen. Check permissions, a shared-content update and scheduling. You can then repeat that onboarding process for other franchisees without turning the brand workspace into a shared account for every business owner.
